Camp Palisades is a ministry of First Mennonite Church of Aberdeen, ID, though we are committed to work generously with people from other traditions and minister to youth from all backgrounds. Folks from our congregation began developing this land in Palisades, ID in 1957, and we are very grateful for the hard work and foresight of those who came before us and made this camp possible. Our Camp Palisades community has now extended to having campers and volunteers from the Boise area, Idaho Falls, and Star Valley, Wyoming just 30 miles from the camp itself. We strive to use this camp as a place to follow after Jesus by doing what he did by using creation as a means to talk about who God is and who we are called to be in a way that is different than ordinary church ministry.
Camp Palisades is located in the Targhee National Forest in the Snake River Range near Palisades Dam, two miles from Highway 26 on Sheep Creek Road.
Legal: Camp Palisades operations on National Forest lands are authorized under a special use permit by the Caribou Targhee National Forest and operates on a non-discriminatory basis.
